Why Should You Attend?
Our previous Frontier Club Rafting Masterminds should make it clear:
Where Are We Going?
The California Salmon River is one of the most incredible class V whitewater rafting trips in the country. With beautiful, lush coastal scenery, a seemingly endless number of waterfalls cascading in from above, and emerald-green waters, there’s plenty of unique sights:
What Are We Doing?
Over 4 days of breathtaking outdoors and more than 50-miles down river, you and your Brothers will be rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, and eating like kings.
Each day we’ll hit the water for 4 hours in our whitewater vessels. Back on land, we’ll have epic hikes through forests and to waterfalls. At night, we’ll get our hands dirty setting up our private campsites (including a wood-fired sauna!), building bonfires and eating fresh food. Combined with no cell reception or civilization in sight, this trip will be an extremely healthy disconnect with your fellow Brothers.
Mastermind Circle
Our Mastermind portions of the weekend is your opportunity to give & receive feedback, perspective and support from your Brothers on a pressing roadblock, a big decision, an intimidating challenge or even just a crazy idea.
Brothers experience tremendous growth from our circles - and the conversations that follow - because of our honest and open environment, and the strict confidentiality that comes along with it.
Trip Details & FAQs
What are the dates?
We’re in the wilderness from Friday, April 21 to Monday, April 24, 2023.
You’ll have to be in Medford, Oregon by Friday at 4:00pm at the latest, and we return to Medford at 6:00pm on Monday.
Because flights are limited, most Brothers will be staying overnight on Monday (we recommend SpringHill Suites by Marriott Medford Airport) and we'll have an optional dinner (likely at Kaleidoscope).
How do I get there?
We recommend Brothers fly into the Rogue Valley International Medford Airport (MFR). From MFR we’ll pile into shuttles for a 3-hour drive to Somes Bar, CA.
Are we really off-grid?
This trip is completely off-grid and we won’t have cell phone service while we’re on the river. It’s a big change from our day-to-day and we guarantee you’ll feel rejuvenated for it.
How big are the rapids?
The rapids are class IV and V, depending on water level & activity. They’re well-suited for active & rafting, kayaking and paddle boarding.
What’s included?
Camping equipment (tents, sleeping bags, 3” mattress pads, chairs), rafting gear (rafts, inflatable kayaks, life jackets, etc), dry bags, food when we’re on the river (eg, breakfasts, lunches and dinners at the campsites). Transportation will be included when you arrive within a certain window.
You can indicate food preferences (gluten-free, vegetarian, etc) and camping gear you require when filling out your online profile with the outfitter. We’ll be sending out a guide-recommended pack list at least a month ahead of the trip start date.
Meals outside of the wilderness portion of the trip are on you.
Guide tips are included in your registration so you don’t need to bring any additional cash.
Can I cancel?
We’ve signed agreements and put down deposits that are non-refundable, so cancellations will not be accepted. You can resell your spot in The Frontier Club Offers Facebook group or we can attempt to resell it for a 10% admin fee.
